The Centre of Excellence for Surgical Education and Innovation (CESEI) is a state-of-the-art multidisciplinary entity devoted to the following specific objectives:
Education - to enrich the educational environment and to provide hands-on experiential and online e-education for all levels in health care sectors and to expand educational opportunities "beyond the walls" using state-of-the-art electronics, simulation technology and tele-mentoring.
Research - to promote and perform validation evaluation and assessment research for efficacy and cost-effectiveness of educational programs, technologies and methods, as well as innovative research in the development of tools and technologies related to medicine and medical education.
Healthcare Delivery - to promote and implement new tele-medicine technology in the delivery of healthcare through tele-consultation, tele-diagnosis, tele-surgery and tele-robotics.
