Ever wish a resuscitation had gone more smoothly?

Cutting Edge Education
The stress and confusion of a resuscitation affects how you think. Complex algorithms, drug doses, even colleagues’ names that you can recite in your sleep can all become muddled or forgotten in the relative
chaos of the resuscitation bay.

By examining how we think, especially when under stress, experts, in both the aviation and medical fields, have developed simple strategies to minimize the “human error” factor in crisis situations. These were developed and tested using high fidelity simulators and are now applied successfully in the cockpit and trauma bay.

In this half-day, highly interactive workshop participants will rotate through several high fidelity simulation stations each presenting a common resuscitation scenario.

Experienced instructors, themselves Emergency Physicians, will provide a detailed debriefing after each scenario highlighting the strategies and coping mechanisms that can make even the most complex
resuscitation run more smoothly with hopefully
improved patient outcomes.

Space is limited to facilitate small group dynamics.
