Small group interactive learning based around realistic, real-time scenarios using high-fidelity human patient simulators, and facilitated by an experienced clinical instructor. The learners will choose a team leader and then function as a team to manage the simulated patient in an active and hands-on manner. After each case, the instructor will lead a debriefing session. During the debriefing, computer animations will be used to review some of the procedures performed during the simulation scenario. The workshop will be filmed and the participants will receive a copy to watch after the session to allow for further self-reflection. A live video feed will allow some of the other conference participants to observe and discuss this method of training.
